Too much

There is too much going on in the world at at large and in my own little slice right now to even contemplate picking an interesting topic for my 6 (yes, it has grown) readers. I could mention what an ididot Blago is, but we all know that. I could mention that the picture of Obama in his bathing suit was staged, it had to be, it couldn't have been taken surrepticioulsy, the secret service wouldn't have allowed it. I could write about the Knowledge tree in West Chester, I could rip apart Karen Porter again. I could wish every one a happy new year, or I could gripe about the shortening of the Mummers Parade.
Add to that the situation in Gaza, with the idiots on that stupid mission to save them all from a luxury yacht...
I could blog about some stupid top ten list that some other blogger has created, I could write my own top ten list that no one cares about.
So I won't blog, I will wait till tomorrow. If any of my dear readers has an idea or would like to see me introduce a topic, feel free to comment...

So ya like multiculturalism?

I have argued for years that it is wrong to change this country from a melting pot to a salad bowl. The immigrants to a melting pot assimilate, they become Americans while the immigrants in a salad bowl society never assimilate, keeping their own national identities and norms. This is insane and will be the main reason this wonderful country is beginning to fail. Take slavery for instance. Slavery is alive and well in most of Africa, the middle east, and some developing countries here in the west (think Mexico). Now, as we have allowed the leftists to take over and force us to accept multiculturalism, we are beginning to see slavery right here in the United States again, only this time, if we say anything about it we are bigoted racists.
The African kids are not the only ones though, in larger cities we see former soviet bloc girls forced to work in the sex trades, not just in their own countries, but right here in the U.S.
Every town where there is a large contingent of illegal Mexicans there is also a house full of young girls forced to service those immigrants.
This is wrong, this needs to stop, and the left needs to end the hypocrisy that is multiculturalism.

Hope?

There is the usual bluster and bull-crap from the usual sources over the ongoing Israeli strikes in Gaza. These strikes were and are in direct response to the constant rocket attacks from the area. I would imagine that if there were constant rocket attacks from an area of Mexico or Canada the United States would act to stop those attacks. Normally, the world ignores everything Hamas does or says (unless it says truce, which is actually Hudna), but, there is a glimmer of hope in an Arab News article.

Ihsanoglu said he would soon call for a meeting of the OIC executive committee
to discuss the situation in Gaza and urged the international community to take
urgent action “to end Israeli violations and protect the Palestinian
people.”

And

While most shared their condemnation, some felt the Hamas should be blamed as
well. “Hamas should be ashamed,” said one Saudi who didn’t want his name
published. “There is no good reason for provoking the Israeli strikes on Gaza.
Their arrogance didn’t solve anything; it only made it worse for the people who
had been hit.”

It is statements like these that hint at a growing exasperation with the Palestinian attacks on Israel as well as a possible understanding that Terrorism hurts the cause of Islam.

One can hope.

Gorebull Warming over?

The first, on May 21, headed "Climate change threat to Alpine ski resorts" , reported that the entire Alpine "winter sports industry" could soon "grind to a halt for lack of snow". The second, on December 19, headed "The Alps have best snow conditions in a generation" , reported that this winter's Alpine snowfalls "look set to beat all records by New Year's Day".

I am hoping I can stop obsessing over this malarky in the coming year. I know there will be remnants of the Gorebul Warming religion out there, trying hard to destroy the economy of the United States over a myth, but it may be that cooler heads wil prevail, once again. We have hit another low, as we did with Carter, and I truly believe that the Obama Presidency will be four years or less (resignation over scandals) and when he is done, this country will once again retrun to the conservative ideals that made us the greatest nation in the world.

Merry Christmas

Somewhere, out there
Just on the edge or our sight
There is someone,
Someone who needs you
Needs us
To show the way
(not just at this time,
not just this year)
to demonstrate with deeds
actions
and words
Why
Why we help
Why we care
Why we love
And
Why we celebrate
(not just at this time,
not just this year)
To do so is simple, really
No special robes
No fancy books
Just a touch,
Just a look
Or
An unexpected smile
The specifics are not the reason
Not the candles
Not the tree
Not even the birth
The reason is love
Love for all
Shown by all
And
Carried forward,
(not just at this time,
not just this year)

Charity

We all know who gives more, Conservatives do, and if we were not taxed out the wazoo, we would give even more. It only stands to reason, heck, more of us go to church. We are the Boy Scouts, we are the VFW, we are the backbone of this country. I guess by now any liberal that has accidently found this post is ready to move on, but wait, here is the proof:
A study by Google found an even greater disproportion: average annual contributions reported by conservatives were almost double those of liberals.
This is written by a liberal, who is in shock over the results of his own personal study, Liberals are generous with other peoples money, but stingy with their own. I could have told him that.

Secret Recipe

I am one of those, I used to think that keeping a recipe secret made it special. One of them, for wing sauce, was secret due to a non-disclosure agreement, the other, a cookie recipe, made me feel like I was the only one who could make these cookies. These cookies are wonderful and I should not be the only person who makes them. Enjoy:

1.5 cups oatmeal
1.5 cups flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1tsp baking soda
.5 tsp salt
(sift dry ingredients and mix)
1 cup shortning (I use .5 C butter flavor Crisco and .5C butter)
1 eggs, beaten

Add wet to dry, mix thorougly.
drop by spoon onto greased (only the first batch) baking sheet and bake for 13 minutes at 350 degrees f.

Good luck!

I am Embarrassed

I have to put the whole embarrassing article in the blog, I have to. The reality of what is happening has to get out, even if it is on a small blog like mine. I am a Union worker, a steward actually, hoping to reform the union from within. Our union was swallowed by a bigger union, and now we are royally screwed...yeah, I used foul language, read on to find out why:

Mike Fishman Honored for Immigration Work
Mike Fishman, President of 32BJ (right) with Rubén Beltrán, Mexico´s General Consul in New York (left)
Mike Fishman, President of 32BJ, was recently honored by the Mexican organization Asociación Tepeyac for the union's work and commitment to the defense of immigrant workers' rights.
At the ceremony, Fishman offered words of support for all of the hardworking undocumented workers living in the US. "We should find a way to deal with immigration that doesn't include building walls between countries," said Mike Fishman. "And the twelve million immigrants, who are here without proper documentation, should be able to have a path to citizenship."
Other awardees included Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan, Ambassador of Mexico to the US, Albor Ruiz, Columnist for the NY Daily News, and Professor Robert Smith from Baruch College.

My union, defending illegal workers, what has happened to unions? It is a fact that illegal workers drive down wages, a freakin' fact. Here we have the head of a union defending this, and defending ILLEGAL activity. This man shouldn't be rewarded, he should be fired.

cognitive dissonance

The title of this post is Cognitive Dissonance (CD), which is a term describing the insanity of holding two conflicting truths in ones own mind; or something to that effect. This is something we have seen over and over from the left, the biggest one being the right to kill a late term baby Vs. the non-right to kill a cop-killer. There is another example though that might just be coming to an end soon, and that would b a good thing for our country.
First, we have the group Queers Undermining Israeli Terrorism, or QUIT. They tend to carry signs at many left wing protest marches, proudly supporting a group of people who want them gone, if not DEAD.
So, the practice of CD on display.
Well, now we have a leftist leader, we have leftists in control of both houses of Congress, and we have the UN issuing a Gay Rights Declaration, which the US has not signed. Oh, neither have 60 other countries, most of them Arab, and all of them from the pool of 77 countries where homosexuality is illegal. I am hoping this wakes up the queers to the fact that America is not the oppressive place they claim it is, and that our actions in backwards societies such as Iraq, Afghanistan, and even the territories called Palestine, further the cause of the LGBT community.
Okay, I threw-up a little in my mouth when I wrote that last sentence, but in the essence of equality and fairness I had to. (Do not take the word marriage from us boring hetero's please, there, my right wing is showing.)

Really though, most of us on the right just want to live our lives in the greatest nation that has ever graced the planet, we don't care what two (or more) adults do in privacy with consent, we don't march to deny any one rights, we do not discriminate, and we want everyone, regardless of protected status, on our side in the Global War on Terror.
That being said, there is no room in my army for the racists that seem to be climbing out of the woodwork in Europe in response to the ant-jihad movement, those types I surely do not want.

A great read

While I was at the library the other day I picked up, among other things, Michael Crichton's State of Fear, It was a great book, sometimes overloaded with characters, but that is how Crichton writes. If you want to buy it, go here, no this is not an ad for Amazon, I just have never had a problem buying used books from any of the sellers linked. Or, grab it from your local library, READ this book.
It is fiction, to a point, just like most of his works, he cites actual studies, he researches very well, and comes to some startling conclusions.
While not fully denouncing AGW (Anthropological Global Warming or Anthropogenic Global Warming), Crichton does call out the hysteria for what it is, NOT based on science. He does this in a manner that is not only easy to understand but fun to read.
Seriously, go find this book, take the time to read it, very interesting.

I may have been wrong

In a comment below, I linked the reporter that Mr. Obama cut off to Blagojevich...it was the entire editorial staff of the Chicago Tribune blago wanted fired...
A criminal complaint filed in federal court outlines wiretapped conversations between Blagojevich and his chief of staff—who also was arrested Tuesday—in which the governor said he wanted the Tribune to fire its editorial board, which has called for the Illinois House to explore impeaching the governor. In one wiretapped comment in the complaint, Blagojevich is quoted as saying the Tribune's owner should be told to "fire those [expletive]."

Of course if the journalist in question was part of that staff, I was right, but I am too lazy to do the extra research, and a tad busy researching tractor parts as well. Oh, that and 12 hour shifts, if anyone has a link to a union contract with a 12 hour shift in it, please feel free to send it along.

Update: the name of the reporter is the same as an editor on the Tribune staff, John McCormick, however it is not the same person.

A great Country

Yanno what, we still live in the greatest country on the planet. It is going to tak emore than Barack Hussein Obama to bring us down. Here I sit, in a public library, on a public computer, typing away on a blog, and I fear no retribution. I know that what I type is not going to bring the power down on me. Sure, there are web-sites I cn not visit while on this computer, but that is how it should be, it is not my computer and not my space, there should be rules.
If anyone gripes to you about this country, point out that one can still dissent without going to jail, no matter wahat the nutty left wingers say.
Oh, and ask them how the flow of immingrants is going, both legal and illegal. When that slows down to a mere torrent, from flood stage, maybe we can talk about the downfall of America.

Arrogance? or A sign of what is to come

Now a question is "wasted"? I was under the impression that the media was to ask any question of anyone, at least that is how it has been for the past eight years. Hmmm, maybe dissent is not patriotic anymore, I guess we will have four years of a lock-stpe media, if they want access anyway.

Like I have written before, it is going to be interesting.

Tammy says it best

This ad should be seen by everyone, but John McCain and Newt Gingrich do not agree. Where are the real republicans? There are unanswered questions, and if we do not push the issue, no one will, surely not the media...

School Choice?

In the state of Illinois, the Chicago school district ranks 778 out of 842 districts in the state. SO it only stands to reason that the man who is responsible for those failing schools is now going to be in charge of the eduction department of the Obama administration.
Now, I re-read my constitution the other day and found not one word regarding the federal governments involvement in the education of our children, that is the duty of the individual localities, I won't even give it to the states. We all benefit from an educated society, it is worth the expense, however, it is not the duty of the federal government. I understand that when localities extend the begging hand along comes the regulations, but it is getting disgusting. How can our next President justify appointing the head of a failing district?

Oh, and just for the record, when will the hypocrites that are democrat politicians start to send their kids to these failing schools? No, they send their offspring to the schools that they deny the rest of us by fighting the school voucher program. (I am against any federal money going to schools, be they public or private, vouchers should be local.)

Religion of ????

BAGHDAD: Iraqis and other Arabs erupted in glee yesterday at the shoe attack on US President George W. Bush. Far from a joke, many in the Middle East saw the act by an Iraqi journalist as heroic, expressing the deep, personal contempt many feel for the American leader they blame for years of bloodshed, chaos and the suffering of civilians.

So the members of the religion of pieces are happy that one of their own insulted the very leader that gave them the right to publicly insult leaders? That is funny, really, they are just like the leftists here in America. One of the things I have always felt is that there should be no flag burning amendment, let the idiots prove in public how stupid they are, burning the symbol of the only country that allows them to do so.
I guarantee that not one of those journalists that are now cheering would have tossed a shoe at Saddam, and none of them would throw one at Amadinajad or even one of the Saudi princes. Think about that for a minute or two.

Back to my favorite

The following quote says it all about our incoming President:
Obama is stacking his Cabinet and inner circle with advocates who have pushed for deep mandatory cuts in greenhouse gas pollution and even with government officials who have achieved results at the local level.

Mandatory means that unproven fear-mongering will cost us all more than we can afford. The other statement in that article about the hottest years 'on record' are so misleading that it scares me. Are people so out of touch that they do not understand that the 'record' is such a small percentage of the life-span of the Earth as to be laughable in terms of scientific inquiry?

This is going to be an interesting 4 years.

Weekend Dead

Love 'em or hate 'em, ya gotta admit they loved to play.

More media Bias

So it really is not a shock that there is media bias towards Mr. Obama, heck, they admitted it during and after the campaign. What now bothers me is the lack of reporting by the media on the scandal in Illinois and how the new administration is connected and the continued reverence of Mr. Obama at the expense of President Bush. Take the following facts into consideration. There is a guest house in D.C. that is used by the President and it is available to the incoming President on the 15th of January. That is the tradition. The Obama family asked for special dispensation to move into the guest house early and were informed by the current administration that the property is booked until the traditional turn-over date. One would expect this to not be a news item, both sides of the issue claim it is a non-issue, but someone in the media decided it was a story. So, instead of being honest and having the headline read: "Mr. Obama asks to move in early" the headline is: Sorry, We're Booked, White House Tells Obama. The request was made by the Obama camp, not by the White House but the New York Times tries to make it seem the other way around, understanding the fact that many people do not read past headlines such as that.

This may seem trivial but it is just more proof of the entitlement mentality of the incoming administration and the complicit media that is going to usher in Socialism.

I sure do hope I am wrong.

Nice Try Mr. Obama

Since I spend some time over at Little Green Footballs I have learned quite a bit about the Country of Israel. I have also worked for a family that was of the Jewish persuasion and we were able to speak freely about Israel and the settlements. This was a family against building any more settlements that Israel wouldn’t be able to protect, they saw the settlers as wayward children clamoring for what the felt they deserved. This is not my opinion, I do not know enough about it to have that deep of an opinion, this is the opinion of the wife of a man that was there in 1968, lost friends in 1968, and was not shy about sharing.

So now, I read an article over at Fox that basically dooms Israel to a first strike by Iran. Mr. Obama has graciously told Israel that the United States will retaliate for them if Iran were to ever attack with a nuclear weapon…gee, I am sure all the dead Israeli’s will appreciate that Mr. Obama.

The slow wheels of Justice

A former Illinois bank official, now claiming whistleblower status, says bank officials replaced a loan reappraisal that he prepared for a Chicago property that was purchased by the wife of now-convicted felon Tony Rezko, part of which was later sold to next-door neighbor Barack Obama.

In a complaint filed Thursday in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Kenneth J. Connor said that his reappraisal of Rita Rezko's property was replaced with a higher one and that he was fired when he questioned the document.

Not much else to say, other than the Illinois Governor was just arrested as well, what a wonderful place our next President cut his teeth.
"The workers who are asking for the benefits and payments that they have earned, I think they're absolutely right and understand that what's happening to them is reflective of what's happening across this economy," Obama said.

Two different stories on the same issue, the workers that have taken over a window factory. Neither story has any quotes from the business owners and no caveat that says the business owners refused to comment. This tells me the business owners have commented and those comments do not fit the meme the media, Jesse Jackson and Senator Obama want pushed.

"They're for loans and credit to businesses just like Republic," he said Monday while visiting the plant site. "We have been sending billions of dollars to banks like Bank of America and the reason we have sent them the money is to tell them that they had to loan this money out to companies just like Republic so that we can keep these companies in business and not lose these jobs here in the United States."

Quite possibly the most inane thing I have read about the whole buy-out mess. NO, banks are not to loan my money to failing businesses, they are not to loan my money to bad risk clients and they are not to make any sub-prime mortgages with my money. Why is it so hard to understand that a large part of the mess we are in is the unsecured loans that banks were making. I know, it did not stop there, but it started there. Now the government is trying, once again, to force banks to make bad loans.

Oh, and those benefits the workers are demanding, instead of looking for new jobs, are severance pay and vacation pay. I would have sympathy for them if they wanted back pay, but they are asking for money they did not work for…this is nuts.
Congress and the White House inched toward a financial rescue of the Big Three auto makers, negotiating legislation that would give the U.S. government a substantial ownership stake in the industry and a central role in its restructuring.

So call me silly, but is there any out there that the federal government does better than the private sector? No, the answer is NO. Now our wonderful congress people want to add the auto-makers to the banks in this insane scheme to nationalize everything. This is insane, nuts, COMUNISTIC. When will the rest of the Country wake up? Serisoulsy, when? I know, over 50% voted for this type of government, but that was over 50% of registered voters, not over 50% of the adult population. When will the apathetic realize that the apathy they cling to is going to be the destruction of this great nation?
Idiocy it is, sheer idiocy. The economy is crashing, sure, but that is our own damn faults and we should all pay for it. That is the way the world works, that is the way nature works. Grow up people, take responsibility to your actions, lose when it is time to lose, win when it is time to win and accept both with heads held high. STOP looking to be held up by others, they should be taking care of them selves and so should you.

Recycling

So now the recycling business is going to pot with the rest of the economy. I find this rather humorous to be quite honest. It costs money to collect all that stuff, then it costs money to sort it, then, to actually use it costs even more, not only in terms of money but in energy and waste. Is it a bad thing that we throw away so much? Sure it is, but it is ‘cheaper’ that way, not only in economic terms but in ecologic terms. Even the returnable bottles are a drain on the ecology with the extra washing required.
Recycling is a ‘feel good’ boondoggle foisted upon us by the eco-commies, and I am happy that the companies that have been getting rich on my trash are now struggling. I am not happy that employees are being laid off, that part sucks, but the fact that maybe, just maybe, recycling will go the way of the dodo bird makes me smile

The new toy

There is a new toy in the family this week! Maybe this is a way to inject lightness into my otherwise dull and political blog. The picture is of a Case 480 CK with loader. It is about 40 years old and runs well. We have been having fun taking care of the basics, learning how it ticks, and looking for things to lift and carry!

World War Three

There will be discussions over when WWIII started, was it in Beirut? Was it in Iraq? Or maybe in Manhattan. All of those are good guesses, but the straw may have just hit the camel, in India. First, the Indian government blames Pakistan for the attacks on Mumbai last week which most likely is true. This accusation is riling up the citizens of India who are now yelling:
"Down down Pakistan, attack Pakistan," they shouted angrily. "Hail India, shame shame politicians."

So, in fifty years, when we are asked where we were when WWIII started, we may have to add the Mumbai attacks of Nov. 30, 2008 to our list of atrocities remembered.

Personal responsibility

I guess personal responsibility is my new rant. It is tiresome to continue to read about the coming generation and how they “…lie, steal, cheat at 'alarming' rates…”. This of course follows the election of a man the media did not question at all, leaving his past out of our consciousness. When did this start? Could it have been the 60’? or how about the 50’s, right after the war, everyone doing well, and teens really rebelling. Maybe it was the 40’s, when FDR told the country that he would make work, he would save us in our old age, don’t save for your self, don’t better yourself, we’ll take care of you.
It could have been farther back, it could have been just parts of the whole, but what ever happened, it is disgusting.
We can’t punish our own kids, schools can’t punish the kids. There are no more failing grades and teachers are afraid to ‘give’ less then a B anyway. The teachers are leaning more left every year, ignoring basic facts to push a failed ideology.
“Teach your Children Well…” we were told, by a leftists no less, and yet, we seem to have forgotten that simple thought.
Perhaps we need more exposure to the Ten Commandments rather than fighting to remove them from sight.
Just a thought.

Not a good thing

I can’t say that I like this too much. Planting armed troops inside the United States was NEVER the desire of the founding fathers. Way back when Rumsfeld made a comment, or was it Powell, regarding being diligent about what your neighbor was doing, I began to be a tad afraid that the President Bush Administration was trying to militarize the entire country. I am not a BDS sufferer, I voted for the man, I was more afraid of Powell then anyone, really, as he wasn’t nearly as conservative as President Bush. Now, it seems that the rest of the Administration is not as conservative as I am, and even President Bush is a far cry from the man I thought I help elect.
There is no justification for using the military to do civilian work. If the civilian forces can not handle things, we need to beef up our response teams with civilian volunteers, not military people. We will have the horrible situation of military members standing guard over our own citizens…this is not a good thing.

Changing Man

Somali pirates hijack ship, British guards escape.

I do not want to become all piracy, all the time, but this headline struck me. This is a huge concern for me, the guards jumped into the sea to avoid THEIR JOBS. I would assume that they had been paid well to secure the ship, then, when I read further down in the article, I see: “…three of our unarmed security staff were rescued…” and I need to wonder why the darn men were unarmed. Still, they should have tried to “…repel all borders…” (Buck Rogers, the movie) instead of jumping ship. This reminds me of a BBC report I heard some years ago.

The report was taped, I hope, and the reporter was hiding in the bushes in a Somali refugee camp. During the report this reporter began to hear commotion, then a woman screaming in his vicinity. Instead of taking his support staff, who were admittedly in the bushes with him (probably a camera man) and trying to save the woman, he was going on and on about how sad it all was.

What has happened to Man, capital M? There was once a time when our own safety was secondary to the safety of others, now, it is save out own necks first. Think about the reports from Virginia Tech, when that lunatic was able to simply walk up and down aisles shooting kids because all they did was lie under the desks, only the older man had the guts to try to bar the door while his students escaped, losing his life in the process. One gets the feeling that these student all felt it was the responsibility of the ‘other’ to save them, not their own.

So I am mad, I am mad that men trained to secure a ship jumped over board instead of securing the ship, I am mad that people no longer stand up for things, and then I remember that some do.

Thanks to all who serve this great nation, keeping it safe so I can rant on this silly blog!

Differing Views or propaganda?

Israel kills Palestinian

One version of the story, from the Arab News, the English language mouth piece of the Saudi Royal family. This version admits that the Israel story is a little different, that the Palistinians had opened fire on the IDF when they were caught setting a bomb. Considering this next story, who do you really believe?

According to the Israeli military, Palestinian militants fired a total of 11 mortars at southern Israel from Gaza on Friday. Three of them landed at the base, the IDF said.

So, the terrorists that found legitimacy with leftists the world over are still trying to kill civilians in Israel, and then they whine when the border crossings are closed (with no mention that the border is closed with Egypt as well. Oh, and those rockets that are being fired, well they tend to injure people, and, surprise, they land “…near a fuel terminal that supplies much-needed gasoline and cooking fuel to the impoverished Gaza Strip.”

If they can interrupt the fuel, they can have more kids standing around with candles for the leftists cry over.

Happy thanksgiving

Most every year I do this

I thank you all,

For being

You

Then, thank you all

For allowing me

To be

Me

Meaningful thanks

From a heart unlikely

From a soul inconsistent

At times

Know, all,

It is not just now

That my gratitude arises

Just that now

At this special time

Silly socializations may be sidelined

And thanks can be freely given

Little things

Big things

Personal and not so personal

Losses, additions

And the trials of life

Can be borne with the knowledge

That you, all of you

Accept me and mine

In a way that

This

Inconsistent

Soul

Truly appreciates

Try this

I know this will never happen, but it is fun to think about it!

You Should Be Allowed to Vote

You got 15/15 questions correct.

Generally speaking, you're very well informed.

If you vote this election, you'll know exactly who (and what) you'll be voting for.

You're likely to have strong opinions, and you have the facts to back them up.

Snow…before Thanksgiving

Here I am, over 40, lived in PA all my life, and while I am sure that this has happened before, I sure do not remember it. November 21, 2008, and there is snow on the ground with more falling. The very first time I heard the phrase Global Warming, I scoffed and began to explain to my then toddler children, and anyone that would not (could not) escape that the whole thing was a farce. I explained the need for all movements to need a doomsday scenario or people wouldn't join, I explained that there just was not enough power being created to change a system s larger as that in which we live and I pointed out that the first Earth Day was based on stopping a man-made Ice-age. All of it crap, all of it lies, and this most recent spate of alarmism is of the most disgusting type. This was all created so one mancould become a much richer man. Al Gore makes more money from this than he took from the monks, even more than President Elect Obama illeagely took for his campaign, after going ack on a promise to limit fund-raising of course. Here are the links"

"In other words, he 'buys' his 'carbon offsets' from himself, through a transaction designed to boost his own investments and return a profit to himself," Hobbs writes. "To be blunt, Gore doesn't buy 'carbon offsets' through Generation Investment Management – he buys stocks."

Monk stuff…

Obama stuff….

Piracy 2

So I post the one below, before Drudge goes Pirate nuts, and now It seems that life is all pirates all the time. Here is another article, this is going to blow up very soon, explode into a shooting war that is going to be a bad thing. I hope the President Elect is watching, learning, and ready to act.

Piracy

I find it interesting that piracy seems to be making a comeback. It could possibly be that the fact that Businesses and Countries are paying ransom. If there is no ransom paid, there is no reason to pirate a ship. Maybe ships are going to begin arming themselves, no more 'gun free zones' on the open ocean. Imagine an oil tanker fighting back, shooting I out with a speed boat full of criminals…that is what is needed. This crap of just allowing this to happen is nuts. Even Saudi Arabia is not immune!

Scum

These two were hidden until last week, now, they are everywhere. Ayers and Dohrn are terrorists and they now say that the 'politics of fear' have been defeated by Obama? Huh? Sheesh, google Ayers, Google Dohrn, Google SDS, Google the Weathermen. And hw about the interviewer on that lousy show asking about the couple's 'trouble with the law'. The trouble was murder charges, dropped on a technicality, and Ayers was quoted as saying: "Guilty as sin, free as a bird…". So, now, these two terrorists are doing the talk circuit, Ayers trying to sell a book and Dohrn hanging on I guess.

More Warm-err-cool-err-Change

Since I am back I guess I had better touch on the one thing that kept me going last spring, Gorbal Warming. Now it seems to be climate change, as predicted, and will soon be cooling as the latest scare crap. NASA scientist, Dr. James Hansen, called October the hottest on record when it was obviously not. When it was pointed out that bad data was used this Hansen dude blamed the poor data collection. The problem with that is that this is the data the IPCC uses to push the Gorbal Warming lie. Heck, read all about it here.

President Elect

So I am sure that some readers of this blog (haha) are thinking that I am wallow deep in a depression over the socialist being elected President. Nah, I am disappointed with the lack of thought evident in the choice, but hey, we survived Mr. Carter, we will survive Mr. Obama. He will be my president, I am not like the left, I don't whine about losing. Now, that being said, there is a strong push for conservatives to dump the members of the Republican party who oppose abortion, who are deeply religious, or who are against Gay Marriage. This confuses me. The Democrats nominated someone who pandered to the extreme left, who was elected by the extreme left, and will try to reward the extreme left. We conservatives need to ensure this does not happen, we need to realize that even though California was overwhelmingly for Sen. Obama, proposition 8, banning gay marriage, passed. On many ballots across this great county, liberal ideas were shot down even as the voters pulled the lever for the socialist for President. We do not need to ignore the solidly right-wing, we just need to present our ideas in a way that they understand that all or nothing campaigns lead to losses.

Back

Yeah, it has been a while; this is hopefully the start of something. I had a thought earlier, now I cannot…oh, now I remember. School vouchers, the Democrat party fights vouchers tooth and nail due to the fact that Democrat politicians are beholden to the Teachers Unions. Simple as that; force low income people to continue to send kids to lousy schools while those same politicians send their kids to private schools. This is the future folks, the ruling class forcing the working class to support the lazy class while keeping the poorest among us mired in failing schools so they will need to vote Democrat.

Oh, before one attacks me for not proving my point:

Well Duhhhhh

Global temperatures 'to decrease'

And Lloyd's warns of a lack of natural disasters

Told ya so

Hypocrites

I understand that Air America is lefty progressive communist socialist crap, but are they not the ones that are constantly screaming about free speech? I get that they do not actually care about free speech though, I wonder when they will get it. Randy Rhodes learned this when she talked bad about one of the Democrat chosen ones.

In a statement, Charlie Kireker, the chair of Air America, said the radio network "encourages strong opinions about public affairs but does not condone such abusive, ad hominem language by our hosts."

Uhhhhh, not buying that. I wish they would be honest and add that this policy only comes into play when the ad hominem is against one of the chosen democrats.

Here is a list of the things that Al Franken has said…I will not type or paste them here, this is a slightly family blog. (hint, do not go if vulgar attacks on citizens offends you)

And Thom Hartman is a Freakin' troofer, he thinks that the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 was an inside job, calling the entire Bush administration Liars and Murderers…that is ad hominem and worse, that is treason based on political ideals that have been completely discredited.

After that I can not wade into more hosts, that radio offering is disgusting…but should be on the air so we can all learn how un-informed the left actually is!

Chelsea

Yanno, I would say that Chelsea Clinton would be of limits, but, she has insinuated herself into this campaign, or her mother has forced her to take part. She has acted as if the Monica affair is something she shouldn't have to talk about. However, she thinks it is okay to rip a sitting President. That makes anything she says, anything she does, and anything in her past fair game. Funny thing is, one of her problems with President Bush started with President Clinton, which would be the liberal call for the suicide pact that is Kyoto. Clinton did not sign it either…

Fitna the Movie

Here is the link to the Movie 'Fitna".  15 minutes about how violent the Koran can be. Yes, there are violent passages in the Torah and the Bible, but most Jews and Christians do not incite violence in 2008 based on those passages, some Muslims do.

Not in my lifetime

Here is our chance to picket Barack Hussein Obama in the Philly Area. His minions are gonna be tailgating at a Phillies game. (I sure do not like linking his site)

He will never be elected, he can never be elected, and I will see to it he is not elected.

I will be the one with the sign that asks:

If the Typical White Person is racist, what is the Typical Arab Person?

Saturday, March 22, 2008

He will not win

Barrack Hussein Obama is a lying plagiarist…and now I am mad at my President for claiming the founding of this great nation was 'stained'. The world was the world, we can not apologize for what happened 200 flippin' years ago any more than we can change it.

This post is for all those that think Barrack Hussein Obama was the first person to mention race relations, ever, in the history of the spoken word. That would be you Mr. Sullivan!

Atypical White Man

I had a long discussion on another blog about the fact that Obama called me a racist in his speech on Monday past. Well, he must have figured that some people didn't get it when he intimated that all whites were racist so he said it again on March 20, 2008. This man has no business winning another primary, and I am going to do every thing I can, short of swapping parties (again), to keep him from winning here in PA.

Oh, read the rest of the mess there at Fox, he compared Ferraro to Wright…and she is a tad upset about that as well. What can she expect, she's white, therefore, in Obama's eyes, she is a racist.

I am anything but Barrack Hussein Obama's "Typical White Person".

Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Being White Does Not Make One Racist, Sorry Obama

Just as black anger often proved counterproductive, so have these white resentments This is from the speech.

black grievance and white resentment This is from the AP

Now, when I heard the speech earlier today I had a copy in front of me, I was following along. He is a great speaker and chooses his words very carefully. So I noticed the words from his speech…Anger and Resentment; I looked them up in my dictionary which sits on a bookshelf in our living room.

I will use an online dictionary for this though, it is easier to link to so that my readers, all three of them, know I am not making this up.

Anger- a strong feeling of displeasure and usually of antagonism

Resentment-a feeling of indignant displeasure or persistent ill will at something regarded as a wrong, insult, or injury

Funny how the word resentment is based on a feeling in the first place and anger is not. Resentment is predicated on 'perceived' hurt, while anger is predicated on real antagonism.

Okay, the AP used the word grievance which is defined as: 1obsolete
: suffering, distress 2: a cause of distress (as an unsatisfactory working condition) felt to afford reason for complaint or resistance

Notice that the first definition is obsolete, and that is the one that the ap J school grad is going for. Of course, the second works as well since there is no qualifier for the complaint or resistance.

This is how this is being played everywhere, whites think they have a problem, blacks have a problem. Of course none of this matters, the gist of the speech was that if one is not black and does not vote for Barack Hussein Obama that person is a racist, he said so.

C'mon, let's get past this and vote for someone who will lead this Country, not someone who is constantly dragging it down.

With this crap being spewed though, how can we beat them? I have never felt more convinced that this man's candidacy - not this man, his candidacy - and what he can bring us to achieve - is an historic opportunity.

Andrew Sullivan does not care about the man, his successes (of which there are very few) or of his failures. He does not care that Obama has NO experience, and no reason other than his race to even be a candidate, and he ADMITS that! How can we beat this?

Monday, March 17, 2008

She wants to be the Commander in Chief??

Clinton says "we cannot win" Iraq war

And some people want this person to be the President of the United States.

No, not if I can help it, no way is someone who is so down on our country going to be elected. Tirelessly we will work to defeat her, and those of her ilk. We will pound the pavement, make the phone calls, and stuff the envelopes, it is NOT going to happen.

Real Hope

There really is hope in the World, it is not all over. Doomsayers need to just relax and deal with things on a daily basis, not take it all as signs of the apocalypse.

1st Christian church opens in Qatar

Read this article, how far can Saudi Arabia be behind? Honestly, how far? The money in Qatar is linked to S.A. it is only a matter of time before S.A. realizes that the money from the rest of the world that flows into the country comes from Christians and Jews.

Terrible Headline

AP Probe Finds Drugs in Drinking Water

Wow, what a mess that is. Such crap, such fear mongering crap. One would almost think that this was paid for b the bottled water industry. First Sentence:

"A vast array of pharmaceuticals—including antibiotics, anti- convulsants, mood stabilizers and sex hormones—have been found in the drinking water supplies of at least 41 million Americans, an Associated Press investigation shows."

Very scary right? I mean, who wants to drink water with sex hormones in it? Oh, next line:

"To be sure, the concentrations of these pharmaceuticals are tiny, measured in quantities of parts per billion or trillion, far below the levels of a medical dose."

Umm, not far below, incredibly, incredibly far below. A part per trillion is almost undetectable, except by some of the most sophisticated instruments on the market…so who paid for those?

And then this:

"Also, utilities insist their water is safe."

Worded to make one think that Water Utilities have something to hide…what crap. Please, do not read the rest of the article, your water is safe, even what comes from a personal well. Some bottled water is even safe, although public water is by far the safest. I don't tell you to ignore the article so you are not informed, go ahead and read it, but the whole thing is written in a manner that tries hard to pretend that those that know the science, water treatment people, are lying to you, and those the study numbers only, with no clue what those numbers mean, are telling the truth. These are the same scientists that told us about the next Ice Age in the seventies, Gorebal warming a few years ago, and now, another ice age…they can't get anything right, except public fear.

Interesting, to a point

Here is an article that at one moment is interesting, then another simply disingenuous. First, in this sentence, this article from Oman uses a phraseology that most western journalists refuse to use: "Islam's prophet" The Ny Times (An article about the Prophet Muhammad) and other American or British papers usually just add prophet to the name, something they would never do with Jesus.

Then, deeper in the article comes this:

OIC leaders "will be expected to take appropriate decisions against such acts of Islamophobia" which violate "international legal instruments that prohibit insult and offence of religious beliefs of others and cannot be condoned under the (banner) of freedom of expression," he said.

"There is an urgent necessity for the international community to either strengthen the existing international legal instruments or enact new ones that would include preventive measures against insulting or offending religious values and sentiments."

I will not buy this until the OIC condemns any cleric that uses the apes and pigs bs or until the OIC condemns the president of Iran for his inflammatory statements.

Cuba

This gives us hope for Cuba

Just go read it, it is chock full of interesting items, one of which is the $15 per month salary Cubans make, and it isn't a shock to the NY Times writer.

J School Grads

I write in this blog, sometimes, not as often as I like, but I do write. When I do, I find articles that back up any point of view that I am attempting to portray. Occasionally I find one that does not back up my story and I include it as a link to show the other side. Most of the time, showing the other side proves my point, but I am showing the other side in the discussion. I did not graduate from j school, I am a person that likes to write. Imagine my surprise when I came across this post at LGF. It is about how the Society of Professional Journalists wants j school grads to force the American public to accept a version of Islam that is just not true. If you do not want to go to LGF, here is the article in question by itself.

LGF is claiming that these guidelines were written in 2001, the October after the attacks on America by Muslim Terrorists, one of the phrases in the guidelines that j school grads should avoid using. Huh? What the heck is that about?

"Avoid using word combinations such as "Islamic terrorist" or "Muslim extremist…"

I couldn't make this stuff up, we all think it sometimes, that the media avoids telling us stuff, but here it is, a professional group telling those in the group to lie. It would be like a professional stone masons group telling us to pretend that granite and sandstone had the same qualities, to not mention that one building was granite, or to simply ignore that building were made out of stone at all!

Oh, and when I went to the home page of the SPJ, I found this, which I will copy and paste with the link…it is so freakin' hypocritical, unreal, impossible. One part of the site is telling j school grads to lie and other telling them that:

The Society of Professional Journalists is dedicated to the perpetuation of a free press as the cornerstone of our nation and our liberty.

To ensure that the concept of self-government outlined by the U.S. Constitution remains a reality into future centuries, the American people must be well informed in order to make decisions regarding their lives, and their local and national communities.

It is the role of journalists to provide this information in an accurate, comprehensive, timely and understandable manner.

It is the mission of the Society of Professional Journalists:

— To promote this flow of information.
— To maintain constant vigilance in protection of the First Amendment guarantees of freedom of speech and of the press.
— To stimulate high standards and ethical behavior in the practice of journalism.
— To foster excellence among journalists.
— To inspire successive generations of talented individuals to become dedicated journalists.
— To encourage diversity in journalism.
— To be the pre-eminent, broad-based membership organization for journalists.
— To encourage a climate in which journalism can be practiced freely.

Gorebal warming coming to an end

Now this would be funny…expose Him for the fraud He is.

Earlier at the conference Lord Christopher Monckton, a policy adviser to former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, told an audience that the science will eventually prevail and the "scare" of global warming will go away. He also said the courts were a good avenue to show the science.

Yeah, people are finally starting to listen to me!

Pure Insanity…still

Wow…that is all I can say. There are so many quotes in the article I am linking here, and I am going to comment on them all…as soon as I finish my paper, my summary, and the intro to the team paper.

Really, too much real life to get to before I blog…

"Palestinian militants fire rockets nearly daily at Sderot and other Israeli border towns near Gaza. But by reaching Ashkelon, a city of 120,000 people about 11 miles north of Gaza, Hamas raised the stakes considerably. It is one of the largest cities in southern Israel, home to Mediterranean beaches, a college and strategic installations like an electric plant and a water purification plant."

Umm, that would most likely be the same water and power that the militants were whining about a few weeks ago. And how is it that Sderot can be attacked constantly but now that the rich and pretty are attacked the stakes are raised?

"We will not turn into Sderot," Shimoni said, referring to the town that has suffered most of the rocket attacks over the past seven years. The rockets have killed 13 people, wounded dozens more, caused millions of dollars in damage and made daily life unbearable.

Oh, now I see.

"The fact that more than a dozen rockets have targeted the major population center of Ashkelon is a sign that the terrorists have broken through a new threshold in their war against the Israeli civilian population," said Mark Regev, a spokesman for Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. "We will have to act to protect our people."

Gee, about time.

So, there I go, posting about stuff happening on the other side of the globe to a country that I have never seen. It is terrible what the terrorists are doing to Israel, just like it is terrible what the terrorists are doing in Somalia, in Sudan, in Chechnya, in Pakistan…you get the picture. Or at least I hope you do.

And then add to the insanity by figuring out that the rockets were made in Iran and things just get worse.

Reality again

This guy is most likely gonna vote for Obama…does that tell you anything? The picture is from Zombie time, through LGF. Gotta give credit where credit is due. Someday I will have the time to photograph the nuts in Chester County, we sure have enough of them.

Hillary is a…

She will continue to stoop, continue to dig, and when she hits bottom, Bill will jump in and help her!

I think the picture really means nothing, Obama was just being a good guest at some silly event, just like Bush and the sword dance or the Africa dance…but Hillary would like us to think he is Muslim, yanno, 'cause all Americans are racists…oh, wait a minute, only republicans are racists and Islam is not a race. So what the heck is the Clinton Camp doing?

The Truth is Ugly

In a previous statement, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah said that Saudi women would be permitted to drive someday.

So, someday, the women of Saudi Arabia will be allowed to take part in one of the worlds most freeing acts, driving a car to get from here to there. The article though lists a whole bunch of things that are stopping women from driving. Sure, it's not against the Koran, but it is against about every other form of Islamic law…what a backwards place that must be.

Grrrrr

I am not even sorry, I will not lie. This actually enrages me, that an article would be written that is sympathetic to the plight of an illegal alien. Her parents should have done the legal thing, and then she wouldn't be in the predicament…oh, wait a minute, the predicament is that it is taking her a little longer to finish school because she has to work? Yeah, well, so do many American Citizens, some of those citizens cannot get grants because their parents make too much, as if 60 grand a year is too much…Look, America is the greatest country on earth, and there is more equality of opportunity here than anywhere else on the planet, Love it or Leave it!

Disgusting

Oh my goodness. I have been telling my kids for some time now that Hillary will win the Dem. Nomination because she has more 'bought and paid for' delegates. I was kidding of course, there is no way that America would stand for a system where people could legally buy votes, right?

I was wrong though, it was Obama that has bought more votes!

It is disgusting to read about, disgusting to think about, and should be the number one reason to not elect either one. Insanity, legally buying votes….

Thursday, February 7, 2008

For posterity

The front page of the February 6, 2008 edition. Notice the lack of a question mark. Obama is the new anointed one, the new 'hope for America'. Hillary is toast in the Dem circles, according to the Philadelphia Daily News. Oh well, how bad can it get?

Look no further than that picture for a reason to not sit out the election next November!

Common Sense

I am reading Thomas Paine's Common Sense, and feel the need to mention it to my three or four readers. This Pamphlet, written in 1776, could stand today, very easily. There are so many quotes, so many situations that fit the world as it is right now, but I will not quote them all. I will, however, paste one here, one that was directed to the Quakers of 1776 and can be directed to the peace movement today:

"We fight neither for revenge nor conquest; neither from pride nor passion; we are not insulting the world with our fleets and armies, nor ravaging the globe for plunder. Beneath the shade of our own vines are we attacked; in our own houses, and on our own lands, is the violence committed against us."

Anyone with any common sense should be able to see that we do not fight for oil, we do not fight for colonization, we fight for our future, and if we lose, there will be no future.

Independence

WOW…I missed this one. If you have 6 minutes, go watch this ad from the Super Bowl, it gives me hope for a future…

Contortions

The mind is boggled at the contortions of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC). This organization, naturally, condemns Israel for sealing Gaza in an attempt to stop the rocket attacks. These attacks are well reported but ignored when it comes time to bash Israel. The insanity is rather sickening, but I am getting used to it and that is the problem. The article in question is so chock full of lies and distortions it is hard to decide which to refute first.

I found one, and I am going to just do this one. Here are two quotes from the article, keeping in mind that Gaza shares a border with Egypt as well as Israel and that Israel pulled out of Gaza last year.

""We hold Israel responsible for the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in the Gaza Strip and assert that these conditions are a direct result of Israel's persistent assault, closure of border crossings and disruption of the flow of fuel, food and medical supplies to the Palestinian people," they said in a written communique issued at the end of the extraordinary meeting of the organization's executive committee."

Okay…now, later in the same article, linked above:

"Malki commended Egypt for opening the border to Gazans with a view to helping them stock up on essential goods and water."

There are many pictures of what Gazans considered essential, mainly Cigarettes and Big Screen televisions though. Okay, in the same publication, the Arab News comes the kicker, the proof that all of this is distortions:

Egypt Seals Last Breach in Border

"Egyptian forces sealed the last breach in the border with the Gaza Strip yesterday, stopping an influx of Palestinians into Egypt across a frontier blown open by Hamas Islamists defying an Israeli-led blockade."

If the Arab world cared one whit about the fate of the Palestinians, the border between Gaza and Egypt would be easier to cross, and Egypt would do more to stop the flow of weapons. No, the Arab world needs the Palestinians to suffer so the intermediate goal of the destruction of Israel can be fulfilled on the way to the ultimate goal of world domination by these Islamic cretins.

Clinton

Clinton said such measures would apply only to workers who can afford health coverage but refuse to buy it, which puts undue pressure on hospitals and emergency rooms. With her proposals for subsidies, she said, "it will be affordable for everyone."

This is what you are going to get if you elect a Democrat, someone that feels it is right to tell you what to spend your money on. I understand that health care is something important, but it is not the job of the government to force people to buy insurance. If the government did not force hospitals to provide expensive care to everyone that walks through the door health care would not be so expensive. Imagine if it were the same at the supermarket. Everyone that comes in is entitled to a cart full of whatever food they want, regardless of their ability to pay. How expensive would food become? How many people would actually pay? This is what the Democrats want, and it SUCKS.

DASD

So, my kids are losing time at school over this…I refuse to comment either way, but I do pay those salaries, and I do not get raises even close to the boards proposals.

Darn it, now I have to switch my Candidate…Oh well, it was bound to happen.

Here is the reason I am switching to Rudy.

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot to say about this at the moment, I am in PA and am not part of the selection process as it is. Oh well, I will be working hard for some local candidates throughout the year and will keep my assorted readers up to date on those situations as they arise.

Iran has an Insane President

It seems the President of Iran would like to see one world leader, and, surprise, he would like that leader to be Islamic.

Now, this President has called for the destruction of Israel many times, and has seemingly called for major conflict in order to speed up the arrival of the Mahdi. Look, I have tried very hard to find links for Muslims that do not want to kill me, but they are few and far between. If you know of any, feel free to let me know!

Oh, I really don't want to be ruled by an Islamic leader, thanks anyway, I like the government in the US, with all its warts!

Oh, and this is why, I like our freedom of speech!

Quitting

I was going to post, then I wasn't and then I was. I am in the middle of life, and it is nuts. I have quit smoking and it seems that the world revolves around that. It does not, I know that, the world revolves around me.

So since the world revolves around me, it stands to reason that I should be able to write…nope, same old stuff, same old mental blocks, but now I cannot wander around outside and gather my thoughts while smoking. Yeah, I am feeling a little sorry for myself but I am going to plug Chantix anyway. It helped immensely, as did my fellow quitters and my family, you know who you are, thank you for the support!

So much has happened, I might have to remove the Fred Banner if he does not win some primaries soon, and replace it with a Rudy banner…we will see.

That is good for now, I will try my best to make this a regular thing, I sure wouldn't want to upset my five readers!

Just stop already

Ya know what? Evolution may have occurred, sure, but it can not be proven. The big bang? Can not be proven. Life from the primordial ooze? CAN NOT BE PROVEN. I wish the scientist that try to browbeat those that question the validity of the theories (which is what science is all about, or did I get the scientific method wrong?) and just accept that there are people that believe in God.

Candidates on Terror

Sheesh, they canceled the Dakar off road rally. Wonder why? Al Queda, that's why. So the international community recognizes that this terrorism thing is a problem, one would think that the front running Presidential candidates would see it as a problem as well. Let's see how they do:

Clinton: End the Iraq war before we win decidedly.

Obama: Obama is willing to meet with the leaders of all nations, friend and foe. Just not

ready

Edwards: More bureaucracy, it figures.

Romney: Jihadism – violent, radical, fundamental Islam – is this century's nightmare. He

knows what we are fighting…wow, I am impressed, but only until I read the

plan to build new coalitions and expand NATO and other feel good stuff.

Giuliani: First off he needs a new web site that is easier to get around, the above

candidates were easy to figure out! Worth the search though as I found this:

We're at war not because we want to be, but because the terrorists declared war

on us—well before the attacks of September 11th. And this: The main fronts

against Al Qaeda are in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Dude…

Thompson: All I could find through Google. Not very impressed.

McCain: He says most of the right things, but in the wrong way.

Huckabee: Wow…he gets it too!

Okie dokie, the front runners on terror, vote with your lives people!

Kwanza

Ann may be acerbic, but what the heck, she gets the facts correct. It isn't that Kwanza is a problem for me personally, but people should understand where it came from.

Socialism

Here is a Christmas video from Hillary Clinton. How can any American watch that and not be sickened? The 'gifts' she is promising to 'give' to America are not hers to give. Even as President she will not have the authority to 'give' us that stuff, we have to give her the ability to do so. What scares me is that many Americans are okay with giving up what is ours so that she can give it back to us in the form of entitlements. Do not vote for the socialist, please, no matter your party, do not put Hillary in the White House again.
