The Stimulus Bill

Here it is

I am not a politician or a lawyer so my take is, well, sometimes erroneous. Read it though, there are some interesting spots, we are in trouble big time if this thing passes, it isn't like the bail-out bill, or like any other stimulus package, this is socialism...wooo hooo.

Ummm, Told ya so...

I am sure this is going to be top news on every republican/conservative/or American Loving Blog...
Iran says Obama's offer to talk shows US failure

An I am sure that the MSM and the idiot blogs will either ignore it or try to explain it away with some sort of cultural relevance B.S.
Here, dear readers, I will just point out that anyone with a brain has been saying this fr years, if you show weakness towards those animals, they will perceive that weakness as failure and they will go on the offensive. You can not reason with an animal, you can not negotiate with a terrorist. Why do seemingly intelligent people not understand this fact?

Lest we forget

I wonder if he has bought her gas yet?

So What?

Okay, the title is tongue in cheek, but really, do we think that the fact that Tom Daschle is a tax cheat is going to keep him from working in the Obama administration? Let's face it, this is only the secretary of Health and Human Services, I mean it's not like he would be overseeing the tax code or anything. C'mon, tax cheats can do health care, no problem, there isn't a serious conflict like there would be if Daschle was trying to be confirmed for treasury secretary, shoot there is no way a tax cheat would get a job like...oops, wrong again.

What the heck is wrong with the Democrats, what the heck is wrong with Obama that he keeps pushing these cheaters on us? And what is wrong with the county in that there in not more of an outrage over this?

This seems...well...like communism

Our President, the man I have been calling a socialist for some time now, continues to prove me right. Now we have a 'middle class task force'.
The idea seems to be putting people back to work but only union people, oh, wait a minute, not white construction workers though, according to our secretary of labor.
So let me get this right, our President is going to spend money to create jobs for the middle class but white people need not apply...I have a feeling that that flies in the face of the Civil Rights Act of 1963.
Good luck with this Mr. Obama, as a white construction worker I have a serious problem with being shut out of a government job based solely on the color of my skin.
“President Obama must redefine terror and terrorist organizations in the Middle East, and based on this new definition, a new American policy must be deployed in the Middle East,” Erdogan told the World Economic Forum here.

This quote is from the Arab News, the English version. This paper is written for Arabs, with the Arab/muslim point of view taking precedence over facts in many of the articles. I try to go the the web-site every day to get an understanding of how the muslim world is spinning the news.

The paper loves Obama, they love the fact he chose an Arabic station for his first interview, and they love that he is going to open direct talks with Iran. This guy from Turkey wants the United States to take Hezbolah and Hamas off the list of terrorist organizations and I am afraid that Obama might just do that, in the spirit of communication.
The phrase "We will never negotiate with terrorists" is no longer in the vocabulary of the United States Government, and we are going to pay a dear price for that in the not-so-distant future.

Just Plain Wrong

I am running this morning, I may touch on this later...

Students Forced to Pledge Allegiance to the Obamessiah…

UPDATE

I have not been able to confirm this report, it seems to be only blogs discussing it. That does not mean that it is not true, it wouldn't be the first time the media ignored something detrimental to Obama.
I hate to admit that I jumped on this wanting it to be true, but I did. One of the blogs covering the story does follow-up and reports that the pictures are no longer being used during the pledge.

Oh well, it is likely considering the leftist bent of some public school teachers, and I hope is was taken care of as reported.

Speaker of the House, not too bright

“The president’s agenda is reflected in this legislation,” the Speaker said. “People vote for what they believe in. Clearly, Republicans did not believe in [that] agenda … I think they probably voted their conscience.”

She says "...voted their conscience." as if it were a bad thing. So, does that mean the Dems have no conscience? Or that the Dems simply follow lock-step with what the top Dems want?

Seems pretty simple to me, one side votes with their comscience, the other side votes with keeping Pelosi and Obama happy.

If you can stomach it

What Barack Hussein Obama told the Muslim world -- full text

I tried, it drove me nuts. Why on earth would our President honor a anti-semetic television station in this manner?

Wagyu Steak/ Kobe Beef

first of all, I can not understand the ridiculous prices people will pay for steak. A nice, locally raised, tenderloin should be about 15 bucks a pound, not then 100, 500, or even 1000 bucks these 'specialty' beefs cost. Of course, since the economy is bad no one would be spending that money anyway...or would they?

Drinks Are On the (White) House
Hors d'Å“uvres -- chicken curry, wagyu steak -- will be served in addition to drinks.

All to celebrate the passing of the stimulus bill that is so laden with pork is is sickening. At least the one that passed last year was full of tax credits, this one actually earmarks money for insane things such as 335 million for STD prevention.

More insanity

The legislation, which would send tax credits of $500 per worker and $1,000 per couple, expressly disqualifies nonresident aliens, but it would allow people who don't have Social Security numbers to be eligible for the checks.

Illegals use those numbers, as well as stolen Soc. Numbers so now the stimulus will reach even more illegals than ever before.

Cool, now my tax dollars will go to the Mexican economy, not just my lettuce dollars.

Hello Socialism

The insanity of the spending part of this bill not withstanding this is what ticks me off more than anything:
The centerpiece tax cut calls for a $500 break for single workers and $1,000 for couples, including those who don't earn enough to owe federal income taxes.

Change the word owe to pay and the truth is that this is a direct handout to people who do not pay taxes. This is the redistribution of wealth that Mr. Obama has promised us.

Can we now PLEASE call him a socialist? Can we now please call his policies socialism? Can we now start to fight?

Never should have been said

"Compared to steroids, this is going to be a breeze," said President Obama, referring to special envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell's investigation of steroid use by Major League Baseball players in 2006 and 2007.

For a major representative of this country to compare the pain and death faced by the citizens of Israel, as well as the innocents killed in the Gaza strip to a freakin game played in this country is DISGUSTING. We know that this man will not be removed for this gross indecency, just as the rest of the shady characters that now inhabiting the White House will never be questioned.

Sicker and sicker.

Holy Crap, I read it wrong, I thought it was Mitchell who made the insensitive and completely disgusting comment, nooo it was our President...you all elected this man, this....I can't even begin to express my disgust for this statement, he is wrong, wrong for this nation, wrong for any nation and there had better be an apology tomorrow morning, first thing.

This was a joke

This was a right wing joke, It was told tongue in cheek by most on the right. Sure, some believed it, some thought he was more interested in kissing up to Arabs than to Americans, but those of us that love this country didn't buy into that idiocy. We didn't vote for him, but we didn't think he was arrogant enough to cater to Arabs and Muslims from the White House. I guess we were wrong.

President Obama Does First Formal TV Interview as President with Al-Arabiya

I am getting more afraid each day.

Another Bad Move

The reversal of Bush policies seems to be the only thing that our new President can do. Nothing new, just reverse what has worked well for some time now. First it was to keep us safe, remember, no attacks for almost 8 years now, and now, it is in deference to the climate change religion.

First of all, let the states sue, go ahead, I sure do not want to have to deal with California emission idiocy here in PA, it is bad enough my gas is more expensive while we switch formulas every season, thanks to California. Oh, and let us not forget, the CO2 numbers are LIES, the hockey stick is false, and global warming has been debunked. Of course now that the religion change to climate change, they can say whatever they want with out facts.

Secondly, we have just dumped billions into failing automakers and now we are going to force them to fail once more by requiring stupid standards that are NOT PROVEN to do a darn thing.

It is tiring to watch this president begin to dismantle the greatest nation on the earth.

How Soon?

Rush Responds

Rush tool the time to talk to Byron York regarding the plea by Mr. Obama that Republican legislators stop listening to him. Personally I don't think Rush should have responded, the legislators should have made public statements as to how our new President wanted to stifle free speech. Well, we all know that the legislators will not do that, so Rush responded, very well too...

For Mom

remember, there was a time when the sentiments in this song were true.

Picking nits?

Maybe I am being too tough on the new President, then again, maybe I am not. The only personal attack you will find on this blog is his arrogant demeanor, the way he looks down his nose at the rest of us. Other than that I have stuck to his words and deeds, so I feel I am fine with my criticisms.

Yesterday Mr. Obama met with congress-people to discuss his stimulus package, yannno, the one where he wants people who DO NOT PAY taxes to get direct cash from those of us who do. Don't believe me? Here is what he said to a Republican when challenged on the point:
"I won," he said, according to aides who were briefed on the meeting. "I will trump you on that."

The response was to the objection by Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) to the president's proposal to increase benefits for low-income workers who don't owe federal income taxes.

Now, it is rather funny that in the same meeting he also told republicans that in order to be able to work with him they wold need to stop listening to Rush, in the spirit of bi-partisanship. What hooey, this is the same old crap we have been hearing from the left forever.

Sure, we can have our freedom of speech, as long as it is leftist speech.

'Cause they won.

Sure, It's Change

But it isn't change one can really get behind:

Obama urges Israel to open Gaza borders

This insanity was discussed as he was signing an order to close Gitmo, yeah, another great idea to make us all safer. At least we do not have rockets coming in daily, but when the terrorists see that he finds that acceptable for Israel, they will probably set up shop in Mexico, why wouldn't they?

More media snubbing by the One

Asked how he could reconcile a strict ban on lobbyists in his administration with a Deputy Defense Secretary nominee who lobbied for Raytheon, Obama interrupted with a knowing smile on his face.

"Ahh, see," he said, "I came down here to visit. See this is what happens. I can't end up visiting with you guys and shaking hands if I'm going to get grilled every time I come down here."

Here we go again, this is supposed to be the most transparent administration and he still will not answer questions. The irony of the question being about a lobbyist he has appointed to a position influenced by the same lobby is priceless. This guy is Chicago politics, just like many have been saying for years, and he is simply another Carter, another Clinton, and another FDR socialist. Let us just hope there is no monster war, I do no think Mr. Obama would be as good at handling that as well as FDR did.

The day after the DAY

Much is being made of the alleged fact that no one was arrested in D.C. yesterday, at least in regard to the crowd that was there to watch the coro...uhh...inauguration. Not much is being made of this though, where someone decided it would be fitting to continue the bashing of the family that has given us two presidents. Oh, and one would think that the arrival of an ex-president would be news, it was when Clinton went anywhere for the first year or so, but..."Late Tuesday afternoon, Fox News was the only major national TV outlet that carried a live telecast of former President Bush's homecoming speech to cheering supporters in Midland, Texas."

Makes sense, it was more important to report on who was wearing what at each of the 30 something balls, most bought and paid for by lobbyists and special interests...nice start Mr. Obama.

Now we move on, he wants to close Gitmo...mistake number 1.

The Speech part two

So as promised, here is my take on today. Our new President gets a pass on the flub between he and Chief Justice Roberts. I am not gonna link, by now anyone reading this has seen the flub. The speech, well, he needs a proofreader, one that can count. He is the 43rd man to have taken that oath, Cleavland took it twice but there was a term in between. The Valley Forge reference was in 1777, not 1776 although the words were written in 1776. Those a nit-picky,but they are things that should not have made it into a speech this huge. It jumped out at me right away that the dates were wrong, as far as the 44/43 number, that came in a phone call from my brother.

The rest of the speech was more campaigning, he is running for 2012 already. One statement, or rather one paragraph did give me some...hope...that was when he called out the radical muslims and the leaders of those radical muslim states. He also admitted that we are at war with terrorists, I imagine there were heads exploding over at Kos and DU.

"On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics."

That line ticked me off, no one was more divisive in the campaign than Mr. Obama, what with all his racist statements and allowing his followers to abuse Governor Palin and Senator Clinton based on their sex. He fans the flames of division based on income as well, and according to much of what he says, he promises to continue to do so.

The left has pushed the false dogma of Gorebul warming, and it was Mr. Obama in Philly who pointedly used the words Anger and Resentment. Is he gonna 'change' now?

But the rest of it was fluff, no concrete ideas, no real attempt to bind us together, rather more pointing out how different we all were.

Gonna be a bumpy ride.

The speech

I have downloaded the speech, I will comment this evening when I have had time to read it. I did not watch, I was busy working, as I have been the past 5 inaugurations. We have a new President, good luck Mr. Obama.

Monday, January 19, 2009

And so it...continues

During the election, if you were watching, you noticed that Obama supporters did all they could to silence opposition. The flooded talk shows with fake calls, they had 'truth squads', and the Obamatrons shouted down any opposition on the steets, Check out Zombietime for proof of that last one, some of the videos and pictures are downright scary.
So, we on the right we called fear mongers when we railed about those things, when we pointed out that the 'fairness doctrine' is just censorship, and when we tried to point out how much in the tank the media was for the candidate. Now though, here comes the truth. There is a school in THE UNITED STATES that is warning students to be careful of what they say about the new President or face disciplinary action. I know that school students don't have the same rights as those of us over 18, but, they should be allowed to complain about a president, they sure have been doing so for the last eight years.

Pure censorship, and I am very afraid that more is to come.

When profiling is good

Okay, I admit it, I think profiling is good all the time. There are certain groups that need to be looked at with a more discerning eye than other groups. Comment on this and I will give specific answers, I am not going to do that here. What I would like to see is some intellectual honesty from the left, I know, it will never happen, but I still would like to see it. Imagine the following headline with the principle subject changed to any one of a number of protected groups:

White supremacists watched in lead up to Obama administration

There is nothing wrong with this in my mind, I think that those idiots should be watched closely, all the time actually. What I have a problem with is that if the headline had substituted "muslim" or "black" or "gay" or...you get the picture, the left would have had a fit. We can't look at muslims closely in airports because we are afraid of the backlash...remind me once again who has committed more terror acts in the past 40 years than any other group?

Profiling is good, all the time, and law enforcement should not be afraid of being sued for simply doing a thorough job.

Blatently insane

I have been screaming for over a year that our incoming President is a bunch of packaged hot air, now, his handlers admit it.
They want to ensure that the email addresses of the Obama minions stay in "...control of a small group who are charged with protecting the Obama brand."
Brand, get it? Obama is a Brand, not a man, a freakin' brand. They clearly admit, in an article that is espousing the communistic leanings of the 'brand', and no one is going to notice, no one is going to care.

Our new President, fully branded, I wonder if the rumors about the brand being owned are true?

Saturday, January 17, 2009

over in Gaza?

How long will it last? If Israel did not get all the terrorists, did not completely destroy the terrorist infrastructure, and missed a few leaders, the rockets are going to start up again. Unless of course part of this new cease-fire is to occupy Gaza once again, but wouldn't that make the forced removla of settlements a few years ago, with the accompanying destruction of farms and greenhouses by the Palestinian terrorists, a simple waste of time?

Is this ever going to end?

A loss

It is with sorrow I must report the death of a great painter, Andrew Wyeth. May he rest peacefully.

Well Said

While I am not a big fan of the WaPo, this article by Charles Krauthammer is pretty good. Bush was not the worst President ever, and may be found to be in the top ten as far as things go. Obama must now continue many of the programs initiated by Bush in order to keep us all safe, he should be smart enough to know that an attack would be worse for America than forgetting campaign promises. Those that voted for him may even wise up to this as well, and that would be a good thing.

The truth

I may not be completely informed regarding the situation in the middle east, but I do know who is on the side of good, and who is evil. Of course, it wouldn't be right to just take my word for it, here are the words of the terrorists:

Failing Schools?

Ever wonder why this happens? It sems that there isn't enough money in the school districts budget to afford toilet paper. Now that school is in Detroit where they spend over $12,000 per student, less than half of that going towards instruction. Sounds like a problem to me that one can't find enough money in a budget that spends over $10,000 for operating costs.

Well, here is another reason:

Chicago public school bureaucrats skirted competitive bidding rules to buy
30 cappuccino/espresso machines for $67,000, with most of the machines going
unused because the schools they were ordered for had not asked for them,
according to a report by the CPS Office of Inspector General.

I think I figured this out and I don't get paid to even think about it. Stop buying crap, stop paying for unecessary redundant staff and start teaching kids again.

A timeline

Here is a timeline that one won't read about or hear about here in America. For some reason the truth about the economy will never be told, I wonder why...

Okay, I really don't wonder why, but it sure does tick me off. I guess we are headed for 4 years of wonderfulness, where the President does nothing wrong and his cronies in Congress are all perfect.

The Two faces of the President Elect

First he says there is only one president at a time, then he proceeds to hold a weekly radio address, as if he is President. Then, he says he can not talk about the situation in Israel due to the one president theory, see paragraph 2. Then, he decides that maybe he was wrong and there are two presidents and he is the one to ask Congress for more money for the economy. What is going to happen when this man is actually President and has to make un-popular decisions? What is he going to do when he can't vote 'present' any more? It scares me that he plays this game with so much at stake.

How condescending is this man? Is there a public picture of our next President that does not make him look like this? Really, always looking just a little down his nose, always with the slight uptick of the chin. Like he doesn't want to even associate with the criminals he has appointed. This picture is from Drudge, the link to the article is there if one is interested in reading how Gov. Richardson is withdrawing from the Comerce position Mr. Obama chose him for due to the closeness of an indictment on some criminal charges or other. Does it really matter anymore? The amount of criminals in 'public' service is astounding, none of this shocks me. It is going to be an interesting future.
No, it isn't just the democrats either, I am not that naive, it just seems that the percentages are out of whack, tilting hard towards the d's.

Friday, January 2, 2009

Both sides suck

Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) threatened Friday to filibuster any attempt to seat Democratic Minnesota Senate candidate Al Franken next week.

Burris will not be allowed on the Senate floor, according to this aide and a Senate Democratic leadership aide.

The American People are the ones who decide who should be there. Okay, so there is a section in the Constitution allowing the Senate to confirm...hmm, now where is it...Okay, Article 1 Section 5. But still, Blago is the Governor, he appointed Burris, seat the man. Let there be a cloud over his head. If he s so shallow as to allow himself to be seated in the "Black" seat by a Governor who is under indictment, so bit, it just shows his character.
As far as the other one, the lousy comedian, heck, let him sit too, that just proves what conservatives have been saying all along, Democrats are a joke. Well, now so is the whole Senate. The approval rating can not go much further down, but they sure are working on it.

Seat these people and get back to business, sheesh, for once, forget politics and GO TO WORK.

NO NO NO NO

No way, no how should the government, any government, bail out a failing news service. No, No. I do not even like that NPR is publicly funded. To bail out a failing newspaper is completely against what the first amendment stands for, this is crazy. There is insane bias now, about 80% of journalists are democrats, but imagine what will happen when the government owns the press...this is NUTS, nuts I say.
The proof is in the article itself, this article forgets to mention that the offending Politician, Connecticut lawmaker Frank Nicastro, is a democrat. How much more will be omitted from future articles if the political parties in power are in control of the media (more so than now). Should we just learn how to say Pravda?
