Hey…I dropped this question in a comment on the past post, but what the heck, maybe more people are reading this than I think.
Name one social program that the Federal government has run more efficiently and with more compassion then a private sector charity. Good luck!

I answered this below, but here goes: While ourarmed forces are the best in the world, and I have the utmost respect for both those who have served and are serving now, it is not run by the government. It is run by itself, with government funding. Of course we notice how the wonderful left treats that funding, going on vacation when they need the money, or attempting to add strings to the cash.
This is how we lost in Vietnam, where NO battles were lost in country, the war was lost when the government attempted to run the military.
Tough to stay L4L and admit our military is the best, huh?
