NYT: THE BLIZZARDS ARE FROM THE WARMING...
that is the headline on Drudge that links to this article:
Climate-Change Debate Is Heating Up in Deep Freeze
I read the article it seems to be almost down the middle, for the NYT. They give lip-service to skeptics, sure, more ink to those who use weather to 'prove' AGW, but there is a little nod towards the rising tide of doubt.

Just Wow
I have tried for several years now to understand just what is going on in the Middle East. This article, and these two quotes sum it up quite nicely.
Until these attitudes go away, nothing will change, it really is as simple as that.
“The aim is to expose the crimes the Zionists have committed. Debating with logic and evidence and using their media and appearing on their television channels will be effective and allow us to reach a wider audience. At the same time it will show the Zionists that we are willing to talk to them on their own ground,” he said.
and
Al-Nujaimi said there could be no normalization of relations with Israel which, he said, has for many years broken all international agreements and sabotaged every peace initiative. He said that nothing will work with it except jihad, including boycotting all of its media networks and cultural activities.
Those agreements were broken by those in the Arab/Muslim/Palestinian world.

Green Police
That funny superbowl ad for Audi sure has some people all excited. Take this left wing hater for instance.
How many times can he, a liberal, use the phrase 'teabagger' in a derogatory manner? Funny, I thought the left were not homophobic. Oh, don't get me wrong, the right wing nuts are all over this too, just read the comments at you tube, it seems this commercial is the future, according to them. Those of us who think see this for what it is, a swipe at the green movement while selling a car that is good for the environment. Nothing wrong with that. Let us not forget that there must be a little truth in humor, maybe pointing out the green fantasy of a green police will show them how silly the concept is.

Knife scrapers
Yes, I am a knife snob. A good knife makes things easier, just like a good tool in the garage makes life easier. So why do all the cooks/chefs on the Food Network scrape food across the cutting board with the blade? Is it because they do not have to sharpen the knives? Is it that hard to turn the knife over?

Yup, it snowed
So it snowed in Chester County PA in February. It is supposed to snow, in PA, in February, so why is this such a big deal? Sure, it is quite a bit of snow, but this has happened before and I am going to go out on a limb and predict this will happen again.
Get over it folks, it snowed.

No Lobbyists?
Remember that pledge about no lobbyists in the most open White House ever? Well, there is a great spreadsheet at the bottom of this article that show the 40, yes that would be 40, lobbyists that have been appointed to posts in President Obama's administration.
Mr. Obama even was so bold as to repeat the silly claim in his State of the Union address last week, odd that Joe Wilson didn't jump up and call him a liar again, at least this time it was obviously a serious stretch of the truth!

House Seats
Once home to 36 congressional districts, Pennsylvania has steadily lost districts since 1930.
That sucks. We will be down to 18, which means that PA is growing slower than other states. I am going to have to research how the House became stuck at 435 instead of growing with the population, not that I disagree, 435 is pretty big, but one congressperson representing 700,000 people is pretty freaky too. I have met Mr. Gerlach, many times, but I am sure that the majority of people he represents wouldn't know him if they were to trip over him...do you know your representative in the House? I might be a bad example though, I've met and talked to the Governor and past Federal Senators as well as a host of state level elected officials. Being politically active is important, why are more people not active?
I don't care if you are left, right, or center, really I don't, but don't tell me that it doesn't matter, that your vote does not matter or that your representatives do not care. They care, and will work for you, if you take the time to talk to them.
Yup...I'm back, look out!
